Well, my internet connection had no problem at all when I tried Ubuntu for the first time. I can browse immediately! That's how i fell in love with it.

Here's how my network connects to the internet :
ISP - PC - switch - Laptop(me)

If the PC is running XP, I can connect directly to the internet (no proxy needed). Now my brother (who owns the PC) installed Ubuntu too! This is the problem! My brother loves Ubuntu as well, but if he's using Ubuntu, I can't connect to the internet. Already try a bunch off stuff (DHCP, etcetcetc), but nothing works(or maybe we did it wrong)

Really need help here...

I had Ubuntu on my system once also, and one of the problems that I had with it was connecting to the internet. I eventually got connected but not as easily as in XP.
